Emedea and the Development Agency of Šibenik Knin County (DA ŠKC) joined forces in 2021 to apply for a European Commission call to become the contact point for their region. After successfully passing the competition, the DASKC become the Europe Direct Centre of SKC and both organisations continued to collaborate with European Commission on various European topics, ranging from democratisation of society and increased youth engagement in building European democracies, to issues related to the democratisation of society through innovation and technology, as well as the social inclusion of marginalized groups. The collaboration is still ongoing, and the president of the Emedea Association, Ms Mira Lepur, after serving two terms as the director at the Development Agency ŠKŽ, is now engaged by the European Commission's Representative Office in Croatia as the external expert associate engaged in educating and informing citizens in the EU member states about European initiatives, policies, and funds...
